I imagine this is a desolate stretch road somewhere in the Arizona desert between Los Angeles and Roswell. One of our "guests" snuck out to go see the Lakers play, and ran out of fuel on the way home which of course would never happen because they have their nuclear fusion or teleportation power or whatever.
