FINALLY lost my BDO virginity and what a day it was!!!
Started with an excellent bacon and egg brekkie at my friends house,then we got there at about 12.30. Sliiightly nervous because I had five trips on me (not all mine....geeez!) but it was totally cool.
First band we saw were Trivium,who are 80's Metallica.Really.That's all I need to say.
Then wandered around for a bit,saw King Kapisi at the Lilypad who was totally funky and put us in a very chilled out mood.Then while waiting for friends I saw blakemitchell, which was very nice.
Hmmm...went into the Boiler Room to see Lily Allen NOT BY CHOICE but we took our acid in there and were hanging with a friend who wanted to go but not by herself....sigh.Luckily the acid kicked in halfway through her set so I didn't pay much attention.
Half an hour in the toilet line yay!!
Then The Vines who ROCKED,especially for a band I don't like that much.But live they kick ass-that Craig lead singer dude is such a bundle of manic energy! And finished with a classic rock smash the kick drum moment-wicked.
Half an hour in the drink line yay!!
Then into the D-barrier for John Butler and the Killers. John was chilled as always, but made us really want a joint.I suspect he stashes some in his dreads. The Killers were INSANELY GOOD but we had to leave when the crowd got a bit crazy...fat Goth chick elbowed me and threatened to vomit on my if I didn't move-like,move where woman?Luckily no spew on me thank goodness.
More random wandering and bumping into people,then back for Muse who just blew me away-again.My trip was on it's second,stronger wave and it was just so atmospheric and perfect...the clouds began all rolling in and I danced my little heart out.Matthew Bellamy may have made me pregnant through the intensity of that set.
I want child support Matt.
And then Tool,which was kinda ruined for me by the rapist Tool fans I endured.I got seperated from my friends cause I had to pee, and on my way back I swear to God like 8 beardy,smelly guys in Tool t-shirts tried it on.One hot guy too-while his girlfriend was ten feet away.Classy.
Errrggghh.But anyway,it was so fucking fun I was sad when it was over, but we had a mini party at a friends to wind it down so that worked out well.Where I nearly got to see an Atomic Wedgie!! (not quite but his undies did break!)
What a magic day.Sigh.
