I’m going to be real with you all. We are only half way through February and I’d be lying if I say this month has been easy.

I’ve been told a very important person in my life is terminally Ill. I won’t go into detail on that but all I can say it’s times like this you really see and appreciate the kindness and love from the people around you. We have had some dark days but my family is so strong and I’m so grateful we have each other.

I also had the news yesterday I will finally be starting ADHD medication 💊 after waiting 3 months since my diagnosis in November. Talk about timing, I’m nervous already to try stimulants but to be starting them at such a stressful and emotional time has it’s own worries. I am however grateful for the opportunity to potentially ease some of my symptoms 🤞 because in some ways I feel like I need it more than ever.

Wow, we got our ADHD diagnoses at almost the same time (mine was back in December). Stimulants helped A LOT for a while but I fear that their efficacy is starting to wane for me. I hope they're effective for you. Also hope for the best with your loved one. No words will make it feel better but hopefully for your sake I hope you find some level of comfort in knowing that if they are ill that any suffering may not go on for long. Stay strong but more importantly if you need help don't hesitate to ask for it instead of internalizing as us ADHD folks are prone to do. You're a badass!

I'm sorry to hear you have someone close that is terminally ill. I just lost my cousin that I was very close to in February. Sometimes things suck. I'm happy to hear that you were able to get diagnosed. I know quite a few people now that have also been diagnosed with ADHD. They have said that the medication has made a big difference in their lives. ❤️❤️
