When one works 7 days a week for 6 months straight all you can look forward to is vacation, yet when vacation rolls around it seems like too much and not enough at the same time. Normally I would have 6 weeks, which isn't too horrible. Enough time to have some recharge and recovery and still go out and play. It is also enough time to become reattached to places and people and not want to leave.

This time I only have 3 weeks, and 1 has already slipped away. All I can think of is "Oh shit! I have but 3 weeks to fit all this stuff into"

The idea of another contract away is a bit of a bitter pill, yet if I can make it through I will get chance to return to Southern Europe/the Med for the next summer. Alas, surviving yet another holiday season on a ship and another 6 months of the same old Caribbean ports is a daunting endeavor. Mayhap I should break out the photo album and remind myself of what I shall see.....

Ahh, yes, Barcelona, Nice, Rome, Athens, Naples, the Greek Isles. The offer is hard to decline
