I survived the first wave of snow in the Midwest this past weekend. My band and I had a gig over the weekend in Cincinnati, OH and had to drive the 6+ hours from Chicago in the snowy conditions. We started to notice once we got onto I-65 south that about every 15-20 minutes we were seeing semis and trucks with trailers laying sideways in the ditches off to the side of the road. One semi was completely smashed up and the trailer it was towing was a twisted wreck.
Thankfully we arrived safely. It was only after the fact that we realized it was Friday the 13th.
Some photos from my weekend....
Gumball machines along the Illinois Tollway...
My dependable guitar amp... the Mesa/Boogie F-100 Combo
The back of our monitor console...
The Pylons of Indiana...
My new favorite whisky which I procured from The Edgefield estate in Portland, OR.
