i now must wonder if it is even possible for my weekend, or upcoming week for that matter could get any worse. i venture to think not....however, now that i've said so, i am a little afraid. you see, that is just how my life and luck works. let me just explain to you how badly my weekend has gone so far.
yesterday, directly after i finished signing my lease for my new apartment, my car broke down. great, like i can fucking afford to get it fixed, much less have it towed! so it sits there overnight, i tried a couple different things to make it start again, but alas, it all failed. so this morning, i woke up early to walk down the hill and take a bus to my car. i ended up walking a ways to get there......and finally reached my poor little sick car, and it still wouldnt' start for me, (i guess i knew it wouldn't, but i still had a glimmer of hope) so i called a tow truck. had it towed to one of the only places open on saturday's in the area. so i tell them what is going on, and the guy is kinda rude to me....but i figured it would work out and i'd hear from them about an estimate and what was going on with my car before too long. i called and asked them before i even got there if they had time today, and they said "yeah, bring it on over!" so i walked to work, but stopped for french crepes and strawberries before i went to play with puppies. that was the high point of my day i guess, good food. afterwards, i walked to work in the rain....and once i got there, i figured things would probably get better. i called the auto repair place at 2:30, and the guy who answered the phone was rude to me, and told me HE had my number and HE'd call me when they knew more. translation: we haven't touched your car yet, but when we get around to it we'll let you know how much we are going to overcharge you. so i called back at 5:30 because i was still waiting patiently, and they were closed!!!!!! they were closed!!!!!! and they never fucking called me!!!!! so now my car is going to sit there until monday, or possibly tuesday until they will even get a chance to take a look at it. to top it off, i sat at the bus stop for twenty minutes waiting for a bus, once it came, i got to the transfer place, and had missed my other bus by about a minute, another wouldn't be there for an hour. so i had to take the maxx all the way downtown, and catch another bus up to my house. i ordered a pizza and walked up a 1/2 hill to home. i guess i can be thankful it didn't rain on me, and that i didn't fall and break my leg on the way up.
as you can see, my day's been shit. i can only hope it gets better, but as i said before....now that i've said this, i'm sure it will get nothing but worse.
