I'm watching the John Walsh show right now, (pathetic? yes. lacking entertainment value? no.) and there is a woman on who's 15 year-old daughter shot a cab driver point-blank in the back of the head and is spending life in prison. This lady is whining and crying, blubbering about how UNJUST and IMMORAL it is to place a juvenile in prison. *rolls eyes*. God, she's a poster child for why we should enforce mandatory sterilization.
Your kid shoots an innocent person, laughs and brags about it at school the next day, and you don't think they deserve punishment? Give me a fucking break.
There's also a woman who's son was beaten to death with a baseball bat, and all some of his assailants got was 6 months probation. One got 3 days in a juvenile detention facility and 10 hours of community service. The one who actually killed him got 12 years in jail but is getting out in 8. As John Walsh says, "The scale of justice isn't always balanced." No shit, huh?
