Last night while we were coming home from the Spaghetti Factory, my boyfriend and I were rear-ended at a stoplight by a drunk driver going about 45 mph.
Long story short, we were at the emergency room from about 9pm to 2am, my back is twisted and his neck is messed up pretty bad, and between us we have enough prescription oxycontin and percoset to euthanize a small village of people. However, painkillers are way less fun when you actually need them.
Luckily we were both wearing our seatbelts, but the back of my car is fucked and I am now officially more terrified of driving than I ever was before. Everything will work out though, insurance will cover the car and our hospital bills, My boyfriend is going to talk to a lawyer about possibly getting us each a settlement, and the guy who hit us was arrested and charged. My back is going to be pretty sore for the next few days, but they don't think I sustained any permanent injuries. So things turned out OK I suppose.
