You have missed the logical extension. Why would you give merit to the attainment of happiness over any other emotional state?

Happiness as the end all and be all is arbitrary. When one learns to love misery as much as they do happiness then they have conquered the human condition.

Now as for the mark that one leaves on the world, this is where the study of chaos and entropy is of benefit. Understanding this concept will allow true experiences of zen to be reached.

Back from the DMZ trip. Other than getting on and off buses I loved it. Seeing the sites of where soldiers died defending korea, and did heroic acts, and seeing the current DMZ camps, the tunnel(s) dug into south korea, the history lessons, mountains, was very profound.
