So it's finally the end to this fucked up year.

I can't seem to find a way to run off in my mind about it. So instead I'll tell you a tale.

When I was a young kid in Trinidad one Summer, I was dancing, as we do in 112-degree heat on a carnival float. There had to be someone watching out for me as I passed out from heat stroke. Later I would find out it was a big deal but at the time I drank three ice cold bottles of water and climbed back up and kept dancing. It was so stunning all the colors and forms grinding and screaming.

I remember this one couple who danced so hard I think I picked up it was as erotic as it was.

I was normally blind to those things. At the time I was only drawing little comic strip characters and not nude people. I loved video games and old tv shows on BBC. The grump I am now had yet to blossom. I fell in love that summer with my cousin's girlfriend. She was taller than me with thick eyebrows and large black eyes with huge dark circles drawn around them. She was just this beautiful Hindu girl neighbor. I told my cousin she was beautiful and he told her to embarrass me. I am now 5'10 and he is now 6'5. We have always been this much of a size difference. We fought so much after that. I don't think ever have stopped fighting since about everything. I just remember being too embarrassed to speak to her ever after that. I would see them in the midnight moon kissing under lampposts. He was rough.

I never really thought about it but she was my first real crush. I went back one more time to Trinidad after that when my Grandfather died. She was there and my cousin wasn't. She helped me wash dishes and didn't say a word. I gave her a drawing of a flower I made before I left and never went back. She had to be 22 or so I was around 17. It was odd now to think how I thought that was going to play out. Like I was going to blow her mind with my child drawing. jajaja That she would have kept me as her little secret creepy time boyfriend. I walked around with some Fiona Apple music playing on my walkman. Life is funnier in rewind.
