Like a blaze
Like the world was on fire seven seconds ago.
We were twigs on the ground full of crunch. The heart knows who and what we chased in the silence before underfoot.
Best parts of us full of leaves in one form.
Fall is coming.
Colors
sounds
and the cold
pumpkin favored kisses over the yes.
In our last lives we were birds under water.
