And at the door, we can't say more, than just another day
Without a sound, I turn around, and I walk away

I get to cook for Thanksgiving again this year. I'm looking forward to it since it's an excuse to drink some great wine as well as task my creativity in the kitchen. I'll be cooking for about 7-10 people which is less than usual. I'll probably make too much as usual, which is cool since I enjoy the leftovers.

As for what I'm cooking specifically,...

More travel for work this week. It's a bit difficult to start traveling again after my brief hiatus.

Best of all I get to escape the rain for the warm California sun for a little time. Let's hope I get a little free time unlike the last time I was there for 12 hours.

Back from the frosty place of Norway. What a fucking great place. Very beautiful scenery and lovely people. Although, London wasn't bad either. I miss not being able to go there as often as I have in the past few years.

I think new cultural experiences should be required for everyone as long as they keep an open mind. Do you have one?

I was just thinking about this Dead Kennedys song and how relelvant it is today. Is it the blind me generation or is Jello a prophet?

Boy you said it. That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw the monument in real life. God damn... that was even before all this talk of war. Back in obvious preminision days.
Kinda sounds like you just finished a good article or a good book. curious.

I am: the son
And the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and the heir
Of nothing in particular

You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am Human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does

There's a club, if you like to go
You could meet...

OH MY GOD!!! your not 71! your kinda cute too wink
the firedancing for money is an interesting idea that i've thopught of before but the only other person that i know that sells herself for money teaching how to play with fire, i dunno, i don't think it would make very much money. not just that but i alson think that it's very difficult to actually make money since anyone could just learn from their friend/nieghbor/sister that know how to play. it' seams that everyone and their mother know's how to firedance. perhaps i see too many people that firedancec but that's just my opinion so i wont do it.
will you get me a job?
i'd love to have your dinner dish that you've made up.
okay, i'm at trypto's place and must get off. peace

I'm trying to understand todays hippy. I'm all for world peace, and can understand self-imposed dietary restrictions. I don't really understand the lack of hygiene, but that's a personal choice that I can at least attempt to rationalize as a form of self-expression (I know just as many right-winged French people that have a similar hygiene regiment). What I don't understand is the lack of...

agreed.... homeless kids on Cap Hill, what a fucking joke.. Lord knows I've given more that I should, as far as "help" goes.. there is one chick in particular, the one with about 6 or 7 piercing in her face, that has been "Looking for a Punk Miracle" or some shit for at least a year.. get a fucking job, get the fuck off Broadway.. you're not fooling anyone... you've been here for a while now... *sigh*... sorry.. I've been one to help out the "Punk Rock Street Urchins" for a long time, but its starting to get old.. (again, sorry, I'm wasted right now..lol)
echo:
I whole heartedly agree. I as well have helped out far too many people than I think I should have, that are homeless for no better reason than to be lazy. I have helped out others, whom once in a rational conversation got their shit together and began respecting themselves once more.
I don't think that being apart of the new age hippis has anything to do what so ever with helping the world. Sure it's wonderful to sing under the moon with a drum circle spinning fire. I do it myself, wouldn't mind finding more people around here to do it with. But it doesnt mean that acting like monkee's , pardon the expression, is going to change the way thousands of people are living habitually in ways that are harmfull to the ozone. I being one of them do eat the occasional fast food, dear lord somebody save my soul! some truck driver was polluting while delivery food there, shit i'm a sinner, but were all sinners. Not one god damned individual to my belief is a saint. If they have done anything saint like than we've been living in an evil shell for too long and havent listen to what our internal feelings are saying, about mother earth vs what mother culture has to say.

bty it sounds like you'd really know how to make the date wink tell me more about what foods you'd cook with duck and wine.

peace out!

Morrissey is coming to town this week...should be good as long as he's in a good mood. A few years ago he was looking rather sad in his jumpsuit--looked like he belonged in Florida.

I also realized that I'm going to be in the country for Bumbershoot for the first time since 1995! Now if I can drag my ass down to the space needle...

Just got back from seeing Mission of Burma at the Experience Music Project Sky Church. I forgot how much this band affected me in my youth, and it was amazing to see how they affected me in my old age. The crowd was rather civilized, but everyone was into the band. For all of you Suicide Girl people see this band coming close to you,...
