Know what I used to love like crazy? SuicideGirls. Why? Because not only were the girls super-hot...they were REAL. Zits? In the pics. An unwanted pound or two? In the pics. These weren't the unattainable and unrealistic visions of "perfection" we all saw on TV and in movies every day...these were beautiful young women bearing their all in a realistic way.

Now, I can't help but notice that photosets are photoshopped to all hell and back. Blemishes erased, Elizabeth Taylor filters used...you name it. Might as well be looking at an issue of Maxim.

It's a shame. It seems like it's all just become another cog in the machine.

Yeah, well I suppose it's a business isn't it? And the best way to make money is to give what people want.

Also, I'm fairly sure the girls get the chocie as to how much they're airbrushed, so, you know, take it up with them if you want them natural smile

Yeah, there have been threads going about this for a while. Some SGs admit to believing they should hide their imperfections, which to me is contrary to the whole supposed concept of SG. Here's one of them. Personally, I think PhotoChop should be used to accent a set, not cover up the natural beauty of the women, but maybe that's just me thinking they're beautiful to begin with and not them. Vive les differences!
