So, this friday I took ecstacy for the first ever time, and it was kind of a revelation for me.
On friday night I had to work for a change, and I was on with Gareth, who is one of the other guys who works at my shop. He's about my age, and we get on pretty well, although we'd never been out before. Well, at about 8pm his firiend Graham, who I also know, came in and gave him a pill, and told him to take it half an hour before he went out to the pub.
So, after a long uneventful couple of hours, Gareth managed to pursuade me to come out for a drink or two. I got to the pub, and it really wasn't my thing, all dance music and it was totally packed out. Graham offered me a pill, and I sort of dilly dallied before accepting it.
After half an hour of chatting, I suddenly felt the biggest smile ever creep over my face, dragging my body up with it. I felt warm, and strangely glowing. Cigarettes tasted, and felt really good, and beer, for the first time ever, actually had a pleasant taste! shocking!
Anyway, after a while, we decided to leave the pub and headed to my shop, where we subtly entered, with a view to "borrowing" some fags and drink, to take to a party we'd been invited to. We spent an hour in the shop, listening to Jimi Hendrix, and smoking. We crushed up a pill, and snorted it off the desk, and just chatted, and I felt so at ease with the people there, which is really unusual for me. It was really nice.
Eventually we decided to walk to the party. It wasn't far at all, and it was raining really nicely. Everything seemed so beautiful. I caught little glimpses of scenery behind houses, and had to stop and look in wonder. Me and Gareth had a really good conversation that went like this:
Me: "Aaaah"
Gareth:"Car"
"Far"
"Fa La La"
"Traaaa"
"Bra"
"Fish"
"Hmmm. That's stumped me."
And that's all that needed to be said.
The party was good. I've not enjoyed a party for years. I normally get really depressed, and sit in the corner quietly, but at this party I was the sodding life and soul, sharing out fags, telling stories (which people actually laughed at!) and just generally having a great time, singing along to music in a group, talking about rubbish and making plans to make music.
The morning after wasn't too hot, I was a bit ill, and felt a bit dickie the rest of the day, but all in all, it was a really positive experience that i'd love to repeat again.
