New job?

Long time buddy of mine that works in the department I want to work in says a new job is going to be opening up. If I get the job bid, I'll have more free time on my hands while making more money! I'll be working same amount of hours just in 3 days (4 days a week every other week)! So more pay, more free time, same amount of hours and less days a week! I may get the job too! I've got a culinary education and experience, plus I have the required forklift experience. I got a buddy in the department. I'm used to working longer hours in less days and my super says he'll sign off on the job. I really really hope I get it! There's really no reason why I should not get the job!

Of course there's other people that might be favorites because like all companies the higher ups play favorites. This is a tough job though. Favorites might not make the cut once they find out they gotta lift 50lb bags and 60lb buckets. Since I'm used to 10-12hour (sometimes longer) days at the lumber mill, this would be a piece of cake. I really need to get a job bid form.

This 48 hours over 6 days needs to end. I'd much rather work 3 12's (4 12's every other week). It takes me a half hour each way to work and 22 miles one way. It's putting a strain on my vehicle and wallet.

Of course my buddy may be lying to make me feel better and there may be no new job at all.

My luck isn't the greatest. So wish me luck. I'll need it.

Hell, soon I'll be able to hop a plane and vacation somewhere. This new job will be most helpful with that. Them bucket list items don't seem so far away! South America, Australia, and Antarctica, here I come baby! :)
