Memorial Day is this: ''a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May.'' -Oxford Dictionary
I've spoken to a few soldiers about this holiday. One in particular said this, ''I just ask to be remembered. Go out, have fun, enjoy the long weekend, and raise a glass to my fellow servicemen and women that died during combat.''
I've spoken to him about other issues too and the most recent controversial is the illegals crossing the border and illegals already here. He said this, ''If you live in America, you're an American. Just like you're from California but live in New York. I fought for them too!''
