Home buying

I've been thinking of buying a home now for a few weeks. Been doing research into buying one and according to what I read, most people do one hour or less when buying a home. One hour of research. Are you kidding me?! This is something you're going to be stuck with for 30 years! No idea what they meant by that. Could be the finances or looking for a home or something else. Maybe that's why most people move within 5 years of buying a home. It must be the same when opening a business. Because most fail before then end of 3 years.

Anyway, I've done a bit of homework and I got to say, it's pretty intense. You got mortgage, school taxes, property taxes, homeowners insurance, mortgage insurance (not all lenders require that), closing costs, down payment, gas, water, electric, and then there's the upkeep. Then there's the hidden and other costs. Also you'll have internet, cable, car payment, car insurance, phone, and the extras. Don't forget you gotta eat too!

I always knew buying a home was going to kill your bank account. I just didn't know the extent of it. Yet I still want one. I'd rather share the expenses with someone but if I have to get 2 more jobs and a side gig to do it for the next 30 years alone, I will. If I buy one alone, I'll be buying a small place with a nice size yard out in the boonies. some place that's away from people. Some place where I can have a giant bonfire and parties and grill juicy tender steaks.

Not this man. I won't be doing only an hour of research (again) when I'm ready to buy my home. I'm dumb, not stupid. When I'm ready and have done the research, it'll be the waiting and looking game. If it takes years, so be it. When I do things, they're done right the first time.

Thanks for reading! Have a good one.
