Asking someone out. . .

For me, asking someone out isn't as simple as asking where the bread is in a grocery store.

Asking someone out for me takes time, energy, effort, getting pumped up, dressing nice, making sure my breath doesn't smell, encouragement from others, getting to know the person a little, good vibes, inspirational videos, thinking to myself and playing out scenarios, asking about that person, thinking into the future and seeing if they would be a suitable match for the future, anxiety, bravery, and more. Yeah it's complicated. Asking someone out for me is like climbing Everest and when you reached the top (doing the actual asking) you slip and fall to your death (getting rejected). Okay maybe not that extreme (haha) but a good metaphor nevertheless.

Getting rejected is depressing. It's also many more things which I'm just not comfortable sharing. For some guys, maybe all who knows, asking someone out is as easy as asking what day is it.

A hot dude that is tall and wears big name brand clothing obviously never puts any thought into asking a woman out. They're easy to come by for him.

I ask all women to think a little before responding with an automatic no (or your version of the word no because I never heard the word from a woman haha). Like hey maybe this guy did his homework on me.

I don't need to state the obvious more then I already have do I? These are my thoughts, opinions, expressions, and experiences.

Personally, I feel that same anxiety. Not to the level you do, but it's there. I usually manage to talk myself out of even asking, for one reason or another. I can't speak for all men, but I would say a lot more guys than you think deal with similar issues as you.
