In the USA when a person flirts it means they want a relationship ( or just sex ) with that person. When the person receives that flirtation in the USA, they think the same.

In the rest of the world, when a person flirts with someone else, it's not about fucking. It's about making the other person feel good about themselves.

This screws with the minds of the American people. Especially the men.

I've read many novels and magazines as a youngster so I've known about this flirtation thing for quite some time. I used to flirt with women I've had absolutely no interest in. Young and old alike. Figured out the young ones didn't take it so well. So I just strictly flirted with older women. Married or single it didn't matter. From age 50 (seemed to be the best age) to 97 (yes I flirted with a really old lady who loved it) Most older ladies seemed to take it well. Until one threatened to call the police. That's when I stopped flirting altogether.

I never flirted with any woman that I was interested in. I only wanted to make them feel great about themselves. I wanted them to think, ''Damn this youngster is flirting with me. I still got it.'' I always felt good when I could make others feel good. Than I stopped and thought am I making people uncomfortable? That was never my intention.

I'm older now. I have to be careful what I say. There was a lot I was able to say back then that people thought was cute. Now if I say those things. . . I think it would be a bad idea.
