I had a boss that was Muslim. He was a great guy. I had been over to his place many times and had dinner with him and his family. During Ramadan, Muslims can eat and drink only at night. That means no water during the day. This can be especially harsh during the summer. Every year Ramadan is observed for 30 days. It starts on a different month every year for the USA calendar. Muslims are usually much more healthy then say someone like me who doesn't place restrictions on a diet/
For diet purposes, I thought about borrowing the Muslim fasting for myself. I'm not going to borrow the rest of the religion part. Just the diet. I've never done something like this. I love food too much to do this. But I might try it this year. Try is the keyword here. Got a co-worker that is Muslim. I may seek his advise on this. During work, this shouldn't be too hard because you're not allowed to eat or drink while working. But the period before work could be quite hard. After work it's already night time. On my days off this would be very hard.
Has anyone here done this kind of fasting as it is called? Your thoughts?
