I love helping people out when they need it. When I say I'll be here if you need me, it's for life. I don't tell that to every soul I meet. It doesn't matter if you're a man or woman. If you're in need and I am able to help, I will.

Most of the time when I give someone my number, they don't ever call. I always assume they're dead or leading a great life. I've helped several people get back on their feet. I bought a little kid Christmas gifts and the mother a vacuum cleaner and gave her a $50 bill. She thanked me and went on her way. I needed the money myself but I only had one mouth feed and she had two. She hasn't called me since. Which is fine with me.

Later I meet a man who just had surgery on his back and needed someone to split wood for the winter. He also seemed to want the company. We spoke for hours each day I was there. I spent 2 weekends and roughly forty hours splitting all the wood. The cost was great on my body. The guy did try giving me a little cash but I wouldn't take it. I didn't need it at the time. We're friends to this day.

There are many other examples I could give of helping people out but I'd be writing this blog all day.

I know where I came from and this is my way of forcing myself to never forget where came from. Now none of the people I've come to know over the years knows what I've done to help people out. Only the person I've helped knows I helped them. That's the way I want it. Since I'm not going to meet anyone from here, I have no problem telling you all. I tell stranger things I tell no one else.

Oh side note before I close: I'll help people out but if people try to keep using me and not doing anything to help themselves, I'll leave. Once in awhile if you call I'll be there. But I won't keep helping deadbeats. I'm dumb, not stupid.
