Before May 2017 I never had a smart phone. Never wanted one. Even when I did get one I still didn't want it. But I was going to my home state California. I was born in SoCal and that's where I went. I needed two things in on my trip, A great camera and GPS. Well after an exhausted search and not wanting to pay 2,000 bucks for a camera and (nor could I afford one at the time) 300 bucks for a GPS I broke down. After looking at several smart phones in the store I decided on the Galaxy s7. It was only a month or two old at the time so top of the line smart phone. I decided to buy one outright on Ebay. About 400 I think was the cost. maybe 500 or 600 whatever. It was over 800 in the store. So I bought it and had the store transfer my number to new phone and bam! Instant addiction.
2 weeks later I was on my way to Cali. Took hundreds of photos on the plane. About two days later I was settled in and playing a game on my brand new phone (which I didn't know I had bought the s7 edge which I did not want but whatever I guess) then all of a sudden BAM! My new phone shut off and on and off and on again and again. I was pissed. Not only was I unsure of how to get around but the hundreds of photos I took... not only that but now no one could call me and I was expecting many calls. Thank god I brought my laptop. I went to the nearest store to have my phone looked at. I was there for 2 hours. Nothing. Not a damn thing could be done about my phone. Now I had to buy another phone and I was already 500 plus in the hole.
So I paid another 100 bucks for a cheap smart phone that was kinda similar to the s7 edge. I still use that same phone. 500 bucks (plus the gadgets for it like portable charger, the best case for the phone, headset, and that glass that goes on it to protect it and wireless headphones. Yeah I went all out) Total cost was nearly 1000 bucks now that I think about it.
900-1000 bucks= two weeks
100 bucks=close to two years now.
Anyway I went way off base of what I wanted to say. Oh well.
This is what I want to say: besides contacts and photos I don't have anything personal on my phone. No banking, social media, or any other app that is personal. If my phone is lost or stolen, it would be a little annoying but I wouldn't be freaking out. I still have my flip phone for back up. and my photos have are all saved. I still have my computer and I am happy with it. I am thinking of getting a better phone with a better camera because there's tons of photos I wanna take. Better high quality photos that is. I wish I could send photos to SG like I can with a social media site I'm on. I just send the photos via text. If I wanna upload a photo I have to send it to my email, save it to my computer and then scroll to the right spot then upload it to SG. It's a chore and I cannot do this with video. So that's why I don't have any videos on here. :(
