While the machines at work are being torn apart, cleaned, repaired, and put back together by some guys from Germany and our maintenance crew from all three shifts (All of them working first shift this week), our department has headed elsewhere in the plant to fill in and give others working overtime some time off.
I've gotten to meet some interesting people so far this week. My favorite is Jake ''Jake from State Farm.'' haha. If you don't know Jake from State Farm, then that comment may not be funny. Jake always has a smile on his face. Either that or he's always high. He has this laid back kinda thing going. He also walks slow and talks slow. Like he's a hippie living in Southern California who likes to say ''Cowabunga dude!" If he's not high, I'd love to see him high. Would he talk super slow-motion like? haha.
Of course there are other people I've met. Some happy, some grumpy and some that work really slow. I love when the foreigners talk to each other in their native tongue. From their facial expressions and the tone in their voice you can sort of make out what they're saying. Or at least pretend they are talking about what you are thinking.
I'm looking forward to going to work Wednesday.
