True love: what it means to me

I dug deep for this one. Everyone has their own definition of true love. Here are a couple of mine:

1 Corinthians chapter 13 verse 4-8: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Think about that last sentence for a minute. Never. Not sometimes it fails. Not it might fail. It never fails. To me when it says love never fails if you stopped ''loving'' someone it means you never loved them to begin with. It is just not possible to stop loving someone.

Also verse 13: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

The top two commandments from the bible are all about love. Love God. Love your neighbor.

Now those words talk about love. people say felling in love with someone is different. I ask how so? ''First comes love. Than comes marriage. Than. . . '' well you got the idea. lol. It's not what I was going to talk about exactly but since I started. . . First comes physical attraction. Than comes emotional attraction. Then (as the way it's suppose to be and many forget this), when the guy feels deeply that the girl loves him, and when he loves her, he asks her hand in marriage. Love. When the girl loves him and he loves her.

You basically marry your best friend. When you can finish each other's sentences and know what they're going to think about when you say something, that's true love. When you boost each other up and make each other laugh during the sad times, that's true love. If you keep fighting for each other, that's true love. When you both compromise every time and no one ''wins'' that's true love. When both spouses wear the boots in the house and both are in command, that's true love. When the man/woman says, ''Let me check with my wife/husband.'' that's true.

Them marriage vows eh? Yeah, to me they mean something. ''For richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, till death do you part.'' For most couples that means something on that day. Sadly, half forget it later.

So how does one find true love? well if you limit yourself to someone who lives near you, is only 1-2 years older/younger then you, is a certain height, weight, race, has a certain financial status, looks, and other things I cannot think of off top of my head, how do you expect to find true love?

True love knows none of the above.

''When you open your heart, love will find it's way in.'' -Someone Famous

So how do you find true love? For most, you must dig deep. REALLY DEEP. Go as far back in the past as you possibly can. How old were you? That's not something I can answer. Some may not remember their early childhood like me. A date I can remember, was my 4th birthday. I may have earlier memories but that's just a solid date I remember. My love was unconditional than.

Basically what I'm getting at is love like a child. We are born with love and taught to hate.

That's how you find true love. At least from my point of view. Some copied from others and some all my own. Yeah I dug deep on this one.
