On my way to work today I saw something I've only seen in the movies. I always it didn't exist in the real world. It is also illegal in my state. I literally just did a search on it. People did this long time ago. In fact it was very common during the Great Depression. So what is it?

Kind of odd to hear that it's relatively uncommon in your neck of the woods. It's fairly common where I live (southwestern US). As far as I know there are no laws against it unless it's near a prison.

Personally, I feel that same anxiety. Not to the level you do, but it's there. I usually manage to talk myself out of even asking, for one reason or another. I can't speak for all men, but I would say a lot more guys than you think deal with similar issues as you.
