Final Exam given and graded.

Final grades are in. 5-As, 4-Bs, 3-Cs, 1-D and 1-F but that guy quit showing up for class in September and it said I had to fail him otherwise I would have given him an Incomplete. Oh well.

The cheater that received the work got a C. The cheater that gave the work got a D. Poor sod. Had to...

went to the house buying seminar again, got my certificate for attending. i learned that there's no way I can afford to buy a house here, let alone Arizona. Meh.

A couple of bands, a long time ago:

The Strangers (I used to play guitar with them)
The Tall Cool Ones (they broke up a while ago)
The Born Losers (I don't think they play anymore)
Bloodfist (they're still around)
and a couple of others.

Mostly I think the majority of music people I knew back then have moved to Portland or Seattle, except for Bloodfist, who used to play at Bitzoz (that pizza shack downtown?) every week.

Yeah I checked into palleting my stuff, but I figured out that it'll cost $98 to ship it 3 day air mail, and $50 if I take it as extra baggage on the flight home, so I'm just going to take it when I go. That way I know it'll be there when I get there and won't have to fret over it being a couple of days late and crap.

I get antsy when it comes to my Marshall. If I don't know where it is at ALL times I start losing it. So is the life of a guitar geek though. biggrin

I've got a friend here!

I had a good time hanging out with Evilflapjack the other night. We had dinner (raw fish) and then some margaritas. She's cool to hang out with and she laughs when you say stupid shit so she was laughing all night talking to me. I used to think I had some command of the language, but now I'm pretty sure...

Alaska does that to people... you stay there a little while and you get all magic-markery... it's a shame really.

I'm headed back up that way in a month so I thought I'd drop SGers around there a line and give them a heads up.

I downloaded my camera and uploaded the pictures from the CD. About 1200 pictures so far. I'm still expecting another CD from my time in Perth and I have 27 exposures to develop from the underwater disposable I had on the Great Barrier Reef.

Of the 1200 so far I've noticed that one quarter of them seem to contain part of my hand and that...

So I woke up in time to meet everyone for lunch. Which means I missed 4 hours of work. Perfect timing I suppose, there's not much to do right now.

In answer to your question Evil, I was in Australia for pleasure. I have friends from college (a married couple) that moved down there about two years ago. They've been wanting me to come down...

This whole Trivial Pursuit thing has brought up a memory of my mom, my ex, and me playing TP with eachother and me totally losing and getting all bitchy and eventually saying "Fuck this game!", after which I watched Bridget Jones' Diary and pouted. So now you know. wink

Top Five Things I Loved About Australia:

1. Everyone is friendly and helpful, even the ones that look like assholes. (This of course could be proven wrong, but everyone I met was really nice.)

2. It's okay to be at a pub having a beer at 10am. I guess it's okay here if you're in San Francisco or some other large city, they tend to...

For some reason I always end up playing the Trivial Pursuit that was made in 1980, either because it was fished from an attic or purchased at a thrift store for a dollar, so we may be on the same page there. I'm no good for Sports as my answer is invariably 'Babe Ruth', or for that matter Pop Culture, as the "Pop" part of that category could be replaced with "Historic" at this point. I've found that 'Frank Sinatra' is usually a good guess though. Anyway, I'm no trivia sensei, but I do enjoy it and am never one to back down from a challenge. wink

So was Australia a vacation or a business trip? Either way, I'm jealous. Thanks for responding, I need some SG AK friends. smile

Less than a week and I'm in Australia. This vacation will be so long it'll be like I wasn't working at all again. Kind of nice since there's not much actual work to do at the office right now. They've put my project on hold until they work out the political ramifications of it all. It's all bullshit anyway.

Class has been good. Teaching is...

Teh Weekend Update

Kat and Jay, friends that used to live here but now live in Seattle, spent the past three nights at my place. I cleaned and everything. smile

It was good to see them. We went to a mutual friend's house for dinner and to see her kids. I've been remiss at visiting her more often. I miss our lunchtime Boggle games. We then...
