I think sometimes the amt of pics to use in a set is hard to determine.  There are several sets that if there were more pics then I would have liked them less as a set.  And yes smiles are amazing.

Totally agree with you! There are many criteria to select a set as Set Of The Day: number of likes and ratio of likes (because sometimes a set with 3000 likes has a lot of "not for me" too), comments (not just number, but content of comments, it's better a set with comments talking about the colors, details, location, photography, composition, than a set with lot of the same comment, as "beautiful"), and activity on the site (I'm not sure if is too important because I saw some girls that didn't share many content different from their own sets, and didn't comments in others blogs or threads in groups turning oficcial SG, and at the same time I see lof of hopefuls that are super active that don't turn pink).
