Monday blahs.
Weekend was great, though exhausting, and over WAY too quickly.
Friday:
Went home and baked a cake. A Kraken Rum Cake, to be exact. Holy drunken squids, it was delicious.
Saturday:
To the shop to celebrate National Maritime Day. We dressed up like 18th century sailors, drank a lot of tea, ate the Rum Cake (yay), watched Captain Blood and Master and Commander,...

Thanks! They are .. most of the time. Though in fairness, they're not exactly mine -- they're adopted, or step-children, or whatever. So I don't have that unconditional love thing going on just yet. They're handfuls. Lol.

We have our moments, I suppose.
I personally think this particular movement is getting a little too much attention recently.

Since I've taken to pipe smoking in addition to cigars I've kinda quit purchasing inexpensive cigars because the pipe tobacco is cheaper and does a good job of bringing my everyday cost down. A really good cheaper cigar I used to smoke a lot were Sancho Panza cigars. At a shop one might cost you a few bucks but at a site like Famous Smoke Shop you can get bundles and boxes of twenty between $34 to $58 which is like a dollar something to just under three bucks a piece. And they are cigar smokers cigars. They are not the super mild variety that would be recommended to a brand new smoker. Check those out for sure.

So, do you guys have actual working muskets? (Black powder and the like?)
What a helluva day. Snarls, tribulations, drama, and vexation.
I am so ready for some whiskey and a campfire.

Thank you, sir. They're all near and dear to my heart in some way or another.
And this sort of thing seems to be going around. I hope it passes soon.

I had a nice low-rent cheeseburger off catering at work today. There's a lot to be said for the basics when it comes to food like that, and when you can build your own you've got no one to blame but yourself if it sucks.
The wife and I have recently gone back to ramen on occasion. It's great when you need a sodium fix.
