What is it about the holidays that causes people to act the way they do? I have never understood how rude and inconsiderate everyone seems to be around the Christmas season. Coworkers ask me all the time what the reasoning behind this is, and the only thing I can come up with is this:
People wait till the last minute to buy gifts and become frustrated because the corporations do not make enough of the items to keep from having overstock of said items. Then, on top of that, they are forced to deal with all of the other people who are in the same situation. When you pile this on top of the fact that Americans are becoming incredibly more materialistic, less considerate of others, and have been molded into self-involved twits that live in worlds revolving soley around themselves, you have the Christmas season.
Now, I 'm not saying that every person on the face of the planet acts this way, but I am saying that this minset is quickly becoming the majority. I've also noticed that elderly people are generally ruder, less considerate, and feel more entitled than everyone else.
