is reaching a critical point in her training, and if all goes well today, it may be time.

23:10. The sun has set. Phoebe's power is being augmented by the nearly full moon, as I expected. The scriptures from the ancient civilization predicted this. Tonight, Phoebe is going to attempt the ancient psychic attack for the first time. We'll start the operation at midnight.
July 19. 00:00
It is midnight. With permission of the Denali Parks Administration and the Denali Pokรฉmon League, we have selected a diseased tree as Phoebe's target. If all goes well, Phoebe's attack will obliterate the tree and light up the sky. Randi is observing from a safe place. He and his nervous Gardevoir embraced for almost a minute before she approached the field. This is a momentous trial for her, her Trainer wishing her the best.
This attack will consume some of Phoebe's life force. She will be fine as long as she rests after we are done. The attack is perfectly safe as long as the Pokรฉmon rests! Oh, ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ
. I miss you so much... you would be proud. I wish you were alive to meet Phoebe, a rare fellow wielder of the ancient psychic arts.

I position myself behind Phoebe. There will be lots of ejecta from this explosion and I will need to be behind Phoebe's shield. Again, Randi is far away in a ditch.
Here it goes. Phoebe is drawing in her arms, positioning them in the ancient warrior's pose. She begins lowering her stance, building up energy. She begins glowing a faint purple colour. I give her the go command to channel her energy past the critical threshold. She begins glowing brightly! The air around us sinks into her space as she shines a brilliant pink! She starts to levitate off the ground, still holding her arms in pose, carefully maintaining her stored energy.
This is it.
I give the command for her release. She throws her arms out to the side as the glowing energy field shoots away from her, striking the tree!
A gigantic explosion of pink light erupts, lighting the area around us! Broken branches and rocks go flying, some of them striking Phoebe's energy shield. The tree itself vaporizes in a blue flame that pierces high into the sky like a heavenly pillar of light. The area around the tree settles into a crater, crackling with a myriad of pink sparks.
The dust settles. Success. Phoebe did it!
She starts leaping for joy as Randi runs over to her as fast as he can. Phoebe runs toward him as they leap into each other's arms. They truly are a model Pokรฉmon partnership. I feel a sudden pang of grief for Celeste, who saved me by using a strong version of this attack.
ใGarde- garde- Gardevoir!!ใPhoebe cheered.
"You did it! I knew you could! I'm so proud of you!!" Randi gave his congratulations as he lovingly patted her back.

Well, that's for another time, I suppose. We have more work to do. Much more work! The time has come to give Randi the ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ and Phoebe the ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ
! It is time for Phoebe to learn to ๐ ๐ฒ๐ด๐ฎ ๐๐๐ผ๐น๐๐ฒ. After this, we will be ready to unleash the ultimate form of this attack, the pinnacle of my teaching and Phoebe's capstone experience in the ancient psychic arts.

So, soon I will be Mega Gardevoir. My secret desire for Randi and Sabrina to get back together and get serious will be revealed once our connection between the Key Stone and the Gardevoirite happens. I'm running out of time. I have to see Gothitelle as soon as possible!

AN: Exciting stuff here! That means, after many months of writing this story, it's nearly time to see Phoebe as a Mega Gardevoir! I can't wait to draw her this way. That billowy dress form is so elegant. It's a damn shame the new Pokรฉmon games won't have Mega Evolution, but that gorgeous Gardevoir will live on in my fanfic!
