Browsing through my feed today (thank you @SKYHOOK ), I ran across a beautifully written blog by @LASCAUX and was struck by the poignancy of her struggle with the attainment of a goal she has worked so hard to achieve..."going pink". So rather than spamming up her page with my prodigious use of the alphabet, I'll put it here where it can rest in solitude.
Success, Victory, that WooHoo moment where all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears (not to mention all the asshat "open boobs" and other douchey comments that have been endured on social media pages, inboxes and of course Pericope broadcasts) has paid off and you have made it. Let's celebrate, wait, who with? Seems aside from the inner pride felt, it's this community where strength, affirmation and the recognition of what a great accomplishment going pink is, was found. Truly a beautiful example of how we all want to be embraced. Damn, Im rambling but this is what I wanted to add or offer: I see of you beautiful and sexy ladies as entrepreneurs, bringing your own special gifts, talents, ink, scars and beauty to the world. As such, I wanted to post something from the greatest entrepreneur of all time...Steve Jobs, and principles that drove his success.
1. Do What You Love - People with passion can change the world for the better.
2. Put a Dent in the Universe - Believe in the power of Vision
3. Make Connections - Creativity is in connecting things. Don't live in a bubble, draw inspiration from everywhere.
4. Say "NO" to 1,000 Things - Confronted with doing something that's not you, just say "no". You are your "A" team, focus where it makes the biggest difference.
5. Create Insanely Different Experiences - Your photosets...the experience of viewing should be to enrich life and create an emotional connection with you and your brand. No one else's, no competition, just your special qualities.
6. Master the Message - You are beautiful and unique in your own way. Don't just deliver a "presentation", inform, educate, inspire and entertain. Let us embrace YOU
Time to land this plane. As I said earlier, this thought was generated from reading @LASCAUX 's beautiful and poignant words. I more than likely responded with something less than beautiful and rather boring, but hey, its all hidden here right??
Cheers to all and know that I admire your art, hard work and appreciate each of you for your uniqueness, style, beauty and gentle grace with all of your admirers!
