NewsFlash - The New York Pops Orchestra is coming to the sticks! Yes, I find it hard to believe myself. They will be playing a show honoring the Dorsey Brothers(Born and raised here in Schuylkill County, they went on to be very prominent figures in the big band scene of the '30s and '40s. The NY Pops conductor was friends with the Dorsey's and played with their band on occasion.) So, the question is, Did I get tickets? I must admit my eclectic musical tastes do include big band music, so, yes I do have my tickets already.(Don't hate me cuz I'm weird.)
