Well,
About eleven years ago I started playing Vampire the Masquerade in a Live Action Role Play setting. In this venue you create a character, act out what happens ( within reason, no biting, hitting or pulling a weapon) and your main goal is to survive. Well eleven years ago I had fun, played it for what it was (a game) and had a blast. No I am a story teller my self, meaning I create the scenes and situations others play in, and I am about to pull my fucking teeth out. I have a friend, my best friend actually, and he has just about put both feet and half his torso up my ass about this damned game and has non stop bitched at me about rules and regulations that aren't even affecting us and I've about had my limit.
I mean, fuck dude, it's a game and games are supposed to be fun. I'm so sick of feeling like this is a job that I have to do because no one else wants to do it. I just hope I survive until Grand Masquerade. In September in New Orleans, there will be an event hosting over four thousand people to a event that invites players from all over the world. IT IS EPIC and makes all other bullshit worth it. Four thousand people pretending to be vampires in the heart of the French Quarter, fucking rad.
Anyway, that's what I think of when I want to quit or just step down as story teller. Just have to make it to September, and remember how much fun playing is.
