Well news from the agent, turned out to be a bust and with the schedule of a full time father and a full time teacher, my writing has taken a hard sideline. It sucks, but I am working on it slowly. My goal is to be published before I am forty, it just sucks. Creatively, I am still working, I am writing for a haunted...

Keep in mind how many rejections award winning authors have gotten before seeing their works published. Rejection is common in this industry - don't take it as mark of failure on anything on your end. Be persistent and stick with it!

I wasn't going to say anything about this but I got a hit from an agent. She asked to read more and is doing so now, the first four chapters are hers for the next three weeks. I hope something good comes from this.

Been out a while, been dealing with real life. I teach high school now and write on the side. I have three very beautiful children and a very loving wife so I can say I am blessed. I finished my novel and am trying to get it published, any ideas?

Hmmmm, have you considered self publishing? It's fairly cheap to do online. I'm working on a book myself, but it's illustrated, so I think the rules are a little different. I've been told that self publishing online, like Amazon, can increase your chances of getting a book picked up by a big publishing house .

I have considered that and even looked into it. You can publish almost for free if it's an E book. The only problem is that so many have done this with shoddy work and half assed editing that the E publishing is almost worthless. I have heard that some have gotten picked up and did very well but it seems that sometimes those are the "Twilights" or "Harry Potters" of the E publishing world. In the end I may turn to that but for right now I would like to throw my line out there for an agent. If that doesn't bare fruit then I will seek other avenues.

So, I took third in a local poetry contest this week. Here's the work I submitted.

Last moments.
Close my eyes when I die,
I dont want to look at the sky,
I dont want a lie on my lips,
I just want to feel her last kiss.

I dont want to look at the sky,
Because I never prayed to him before
I just...

I am looking for a new venue to push my fiction through, can that be done here? I would love to get some insight on my work from common minds. Any help would be good.

It's been a while for me, and I feel like i've neglected this site and others as I've progressed to a new stage in my life. I am now a college graduate, not that it means much, and I am back in school for a second BA as I cruise for writing gigs and filming opportunities. I finished filming my short and it was pretty...

Well it's started,
I've set my location for the third short and am looking for crew and cast members. Doing this during the summer in a small town is like trying to find a needle in a thousand haystacks, but I need to get this done. I won't have time to do it during the fall semester and I really want another short under my...

I was running through my comments on my set and yours really caught my eye. I wanted to say Thank You for the very kind words, wink
It's feedback like that that makes me proud to be on this site and more determined on my goal to be Pink here. kiss smile

Well thanks,
As an film maker and writer, I try to give constructive critizim because what I see in other comments is "you're so hot" or "You're sexy." I want to be able to say more than that because I think it's important to state the obvious attraction there is to the set but to also explain all the reason why that set caught my eye. It's nice to know the comments are being read.

Well,
About eleven years ago I started playing Vampire the Masquerade in a Live Action Role Play setting. In this venue you create a character, act out what happens ( within reason, no biting, hitting or pulling a weapon) and your main goal is to survive. Well eleven years ago I had fun, played it for what it was (a game) and had a blast....

So it's raining right now and I thought what a better time to sit down and write. Then the rain stopped and I was like, well fuck. Anyway, I am gathering up another cast for another short, hopefully to be shot by the end of the month. If you are in the Natchitoches Louisiana area and would like to work for free lol,(the video can...

Well I guess this is a health update, since I haven't been on here, I haven't had the chance to expose the cause of all the pain. But first let's review:

When I was a kid I had pins placed in both hips. Now unknown to me those pins cut off vital blood flow to the joints and caused them to erode faster than normal....
