Hmm...what's been up lately...let's see...

My brother decided he was not going to move in again after all. He's really trying hard to patch things up with his girl, they love each other to death, they just are too stubborn and combative for their own good. I just hope they are both happy.

This weekend is my family reunion, so Ishtars_Star is finally going to get to meet the whole clan. I hope she's in for a ton of food and relaxing with a lot of mellow folks.

Due to some fucked financial worries here, I'm canceling the annual August cookout. I've been carrying the bills around here, and covering for my 2 roommates share of the rent every now and then for a while now. Not totally their fault, some bad luck type stuff, but still it's quite a few hundred dollars that I've fronted for them while they get their shit back on track. My credit and finances are very much affected now, and I just can't spend the money for a big party while there is a need for that cash that is more important. This of course means that I can stop worrying about party planning for this month, and concentrate on the bigger occasion, Our annual Halloween party!! I already know what I'm going to be, and it's going to cost a bit. But it'll be worth it.

Well, that's about it for now. I'm just waiting for Ishtars_Star to get back from a job interview. This is for a program that is only a few minutes away, so I hope she gets it.
