This weekend was decent, I can't complain. I had a wedding early on Saturday, so I stayed up all day Friday and went to sleep at midnight. It's always fun to sleep at night like normal people every now and then.
Woke up at 6am and got ready for the wedding. I had to drive 40 minutes to meet my friend Sokunthy who was my date (read as sidekick and drinking buddy) for the day. Then we drove almost an hour to get to Newburyport for the wedding. It was an old school, full Catholic Mass wedding. Very long. I don't think anyone noticed that I was saying RAmen and not Amen (may his noodly appendage grace you all). The reception was 20 minutes away and a fun time for all. Some good friends and a beautiful day helped with that. By the time the recepetion ended at 4, I was wiped, and so was Sokunthy. I bid my farewells to the newlyweds and drove her home (another 25 minutes). Then drove the 45 minutes back to my place. I was tired and felt like I needed to sleep, but it would have been a shame to waste a beautiful afternoon like that, so I stayed up and talked with the family and roomies. I blame my giddy and slightly exhausted mood for granting the bravery needed to finally post a picture of my junk in the 2 page Minimum thread, but it was warmly welcomed, so I don't regret it.
Sunday was long and lame, nothing interesting happened at all. I napped.
Monday I played cards with some friends and listened to the Sox /yankees game on the radio. The Sox won, so all was right in the world. I went to work and found out that they had not scheduled a third overnight person for the night. No biggie, I have extra people come in to assist in the morning...until one of those people called in sick, and of the two remaining people to come in and assist, both were a little late. So for the majority of the morning it was just 2 of us and 21 kids. The normal daytime ratio is one staff to every three kids. Fun, but we managed without a hitch (what can I say, I'm good at my job). Once the kids were at the school I drove home and ate a sandwich while watching the news. Several programs on the history channel later, and here I am.
