Had a good weekend

Worked on St. Paddy's day, no biggie, I'm avoiding drunken shenanigan's lately. Sort of wanted to take the night off to go out with my friend Christina, but the next day I was happy that I couldn't get anyone to fill my shift. Again, trying to avoid the bar scene, and I don't really want to give Christina that much of my attention, why get my hopes up for nothing.

Saturday I rested and sat around. Could have gone out with Christina again, but again I wanted to relax and avoid any self-imposed drama.

Went out to eat on Sunday for my brother Josh's birthday. Ate a great fillet mignon and had a good time with friends. After, Josh opened his gifts, he made out well. A Celtics jersey, Celtics tickets against the Cavaliers, the movie Mirrormask on DVD, Red Sox Tickets, a giant styrofoam airplane and a portrait of my brother as the old school superhero Plasticman! (old joke between him and all his friends).
After that we went outside and threw his new airplane back and forth across the street. Neighbors must have thought we were a bunch of stupid kids, and not 11 men and women with an average age of 28. Great fun, though only Josh could make his plane do a loop-de-loop.

I also found out tha my friend Melanie Jane will be in the Boston area at the end of May. She lives in Bracknell, England, and we've never met in person before, but we've been talking for over a year. I'm looking forward to showing her around my area for a day or so.

So, all in all, a good weekend. biggrin

Yeah, you hit the nail right on the head. It wasn't until late in his life that Ferdinand decided to build the palace - he had no architectural training or any artistic training of the sort. He just felt his way because he had a vision.

Just goes to show - never underestimate the creativity of the 'regular' dude smile
