Tonight, i went indoor rock climbing in Glasgow. Something i'm still a bit shocked at because i have a bit of an aversion to heights. The climbing was fine. I found i was more concentrating on what hand hold to use next or where i could get my feet to so i was in a good position to move further up the 35 FOOT FUCKING WALL!!! AAAAARGH!!! i must have been mental!! But i loved it!!!
My biggest fear all night was when you are at the top, and you have to let go of the wall and hold the rope and allow your climbing partner at the bottom to control the speed that the rope comes through which then allows you to walk back down the wall ( sort of )....my friend George is a bit less developed than me in the upper body muscles are so there was a good few times i was shitting it when i had to let go of the wall and grab the wall........and there was a good couple of times he fell off and i had to stop the rope bloody quick!
But it was all good, and i loved it and i am so going back to do the next part of my membership lessons.
oh....and rope burn up my right forearm...ouch.
