His genre has been called urban fantasy by some and while it contains some harsh realities, there is that constant reminder that we all have our own inner magic. A perfect escape when you need it most. One of my favorite short stories is Uncle Dobbin's Parrot Fair. It's among this collection but I must admit, I love all of his works.
