why is it that the girls you dont mean to flirt with or send signals to are the ones that you always end up sending them to anyway? 
my friends quarter century birthday was today, and clubbing and drinking and overall fun was had by all. somehow i ended up getting texts from a girl that i dont have an interest in 
i also found out that the guy my last ex rebounded with after me is a complete and utter tool. normally id laugh and be spiteful, but for the first time im really genuinely bummed out for her. the guys got a good 10+ years on her, 2 kids and is 'short and ugly' according to her best friend. and i guess theyre getting serious? not to sound arrogant, but youre supposed to do better than the last person you went out with, and all her friends are ashamed of how far she fell after me. me being her friend still means that i too am bummed out. i guess this is being mature about the situation?

For me, it's the 19 year old undergrads that try to pickme up at the Sbux counter. Little things like that give me a quick laugh and keep me from getting too down in the gutter as I wait for another "one" to come along.
