Last Sunday I made a deal with HonkyMoFoChris that I'd post 5 new photos I've taken this week, under the categories of Portrait, Self-Portrait, Object, Place and Random. And he'd do the same. This based on both of us feeling a little un-motivated and un-inspired as photographers. He's posted his already and they're lovely, so everyone go and have a look

I've spent this weekend in the lovliest of ways. There's been hanging out with 2 of my favourite people in the Universe, there's been a little bit of light gambling, lots of Look Around You on DVD and a Deftones gig thrown in for good measure. And LOTS of sunshine, which is currently making me very happy indeed.

The only downside of this otherwise lovely weekend is that I've had to turn down no less that 5 people in the last couple of hours who wanted to hang out today and this evening. Alas, I have been roped into parent-related activites and then I have to work, as America is now 4 weeks away and I'm constantly panicking nowadays that I'm not going to have enough . This is happening a lot lately. My best friend Kate just pointed out to me that I'm very popular and should focus on that but I'm starting to fear it'll become the opposite if people stop understanding my need to not go out as much at the moment. Gah.

Anyway, that's my mini-rant for the day.

Back to work, and basking in the late-afternoon sun (I'm so lucky I can do both at the same time)
