I'm still not feeling 100% yet, but that's alright. My fever is gone and everything, so whatever. Thanks for your well-wishes, everyone.

I went to school today, despite feeling somewhat lousy, and it was totally worth it. One of my favorite kids said "I love you Miss Z-------" after over a week straight of saying "I hate you" to me every day without fail. I could've died, it was so wonderful. Very gratifying. Made me very happy.

And another thing that makes me happy is that my birthday is 2 days away. My last year of being a teenager, for whatever that's worth. And these beauties are my birthday present to myself:



I got the ones that aren't patent. I love patent leather, but I always manage to scuff it on the first wear, so why bother? But yeah, I'm very excited. They cost way too much, because this is New York, afterall, and I can't buy them online since I don't have a credit card. But that's ok, they're worth it. I love 'em. Happy birthday to me.
