Well I've completed my first week of living a "healthier lifestyle." I've been going to the gym for 2 hours a day and cutting back drastically on carbs and calories. I'm not going to weigh myself for at least 4 more weeks. I should notice a significant difference by then.
This won't be ending after 6 weeks, but that's just a good point to measure progress and adjust accordingly. I took some before pics and those won't be posted any time soon. Perhaps after 6 weeks I'll post some before/after shots.
The first day I weighed in at 245 at 5'10" wearing a shirt at XXL and a 38" waist. I had some muscle already, but it's hard to tell at around 25% body fat.
The reason I started all this isn't really to lose weight though. I'm a full believer in the balance between mind/body/spirit. I've been out of balance for a while and every aspect of my life has suffered for it. That's all over now so I'm getting everything back to proper balance.
