This morning I went digging through my old CDs and was listening to stuff that was making me pretty nostalgic. I had this CD on repeat all morning and on the way into work:
MS & Thrasher are probably the only ones who may remember this, well and maybe gord462 too. But While I was putting on my make up this morning I noticed I was involuntarily swaying to Looking Glass just like in the old days and it made me so lonesome for the Wednesday night Moonstomp at Boston's. Those were some of the best times I've ever had. It really made me miss being 18, getting drunk in the parking lot of Boston's, playing Creature From The Black Lagoon pinball, calling various boys from the old phone booth in the back of the bar, flirting with the bartender, pogoing to Mokska Medicine, wearing cut off wife beaters with plaid pants and big shoes, hanging out with Matt & Rob afterward, gossiping with my girlfriend Timi about who Micah the trombone player was banging that week, Filliberto's Super Nachos and New Castles at 2:00am, .....
*sigh*
Man, I miss those days.
Today's lyrics are brought to you by Kongo Shock and my memories of them from the good ol' days:
Looking into the past I can see 10 years or more
Try to make it last it seems that nothing has changed
Looking back into that whole damn hole that we dug
Time to move up now it all seems the same
Looking off this ledge, I see a young man
Looking left with me are airplanes and rubberbands
Looking into the past now it's been 12 years or more
My the time goes past, but nothing seems to change
Living beyong that big old hole that we dug
Time has moved in now, and now nothing's the same
Bob, Bart, Dave, Micah, & Jimmy Boom, I miss you guys.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Next stop....MONTEGO!
