Wow. This week is moving right along. i like it when that happens.
Tomorrow night the entire fam (sans me) is driving out to Anaheim to visit the happiest place on earth. I was supposed to go, but I couldn't get off work, and plus, the idea of being sandwiched in the backseat of my dad's car with my brother and his obnoxious girlfriend while the two of them and my dad chainsmoke with the windows up all the way to Disneyland just didn't sound very fun to me. So I get the next 4 days to myself at the house- although, I'm sure I'll have some company.
Last night I watched that AFI 100 Years, 100 Songs show. I love that kind of shit. And it made me long for a private sappy movie fest. I actually got a little weepy when they started showing clips from The Way We Were. I'm not a big Barbara fan, but that movie just fucking gets me everytime. I know, I'm a whiney little bitch. Tell me something I don't know.
I also got 9 hours sleep last night. It felt sooooo good.
Tonight I can't decide if I want to try and go to the No Doubt show or not. I used to be pretty tight with Tom, the guitar player, and I've never paid to see No Doubt ever, but we haven't talked since I last saw him in August of 2000, and I don't think I like my options too much. It's either try to chase Tom down before the show, or pay 20-some bucks for a ticket. I think I may just skip it. They never play any of the good old songs anymore anyway. It's not like they're gonna squeeze in Aladdin or anything else that was written before Eric Stefani left. So whatevs.
Maybe I'll just go see Jeff, Ronnie and Martin at the George & Dragon instead.
