One of the raddest weekends I've had in forever, but as predicted, it left no time for any kind of rest. I'm exhausated this morning.

Friday night I went out for happy hour with my new work crew. It was so much fun. I really love these people I'm working with now. I'm so fucking stoked on finding this place. Then after that I headed to Aunt Chiladas to see the boys play. Jack & Diane met me for a late dinner and I ran into the receptionist from my last hated job who informed me that the day I was "dismissed" my supervisor was in the elevator with a couple other girls from my department talking about how she was going to fire me. What she didn't realize was the mail room guys were both in the elevator too, listening to everything, and they immediately went to the HR manager and told her. Apparently after I was fired, my former supervisor was written up as well for that behavior in the elevator. I thought that was too funny. God I hated that place.

So anyhow back to Friday night. The boys played a kick ass show, and my good friend Jeff the bass player grew incapacitatingly shit bombed off tequila shots an old friend kept buying him, and after they finished playing, Ronnie and me drove him to Rosies where the bartenders let us sit around until 2:30 drinking with them after the bar closed. It was pretty fun.

Saturday morning was hell day at the DMV. That's all I need to tell you about that.

Saturday afternoon however made up for that completely. I had a date with a pretty rad guy. We went for sushi late in the afternoon, then went to some record stores in tempe and killed a little time, then headed to the Time Out where we got completely shit faced together, then went back to his place to watch the Chappelle Show. I had a great time, and I can't wait to hang out with him again. smile

Then Sunday was a pool party out in Surprise with the fam. It was good times. We grilled some steaks and I played scrabble with my Aunt and my 90 year old great grandmother who kicked our asses all over the place. She may forget our names a lot of the time, but that lady can play scrabble like nobody's business.

So that was my weekend. How was yours? I want to know all the juicy prom stories, so spill it. biggrin

And you were worried that you weren't going to have any fun. Ha!
Old people have an unfair advantage at Scrabble. Chances they'll have experienced ore words than you, but they never have to remember what they mean. Or what your name is. Just what their name is, so they know where to write down the points. mad
