Yesterday Bullitt and I watched the history channel for like, 5 hours. It was so rad. They had this show on that was all about the history of American drinks- everything from soda to beer and cocktails. After that there was another show on the history of just soda, mainly Coca-Cola & Pepsi. It was riveting, really. At one point in I think about the 1930s, Pepsi was going bankrupt and the owner of Pepsi approached the owner of Coke and offered to sell it to him right then and there really cheap, and the dude who owned Coke was so arrogant, he refused to buy the company and eliminate the competition. I thought that was pretty interesting. I also liked the fact that before the turn of the century, Coca-Cola was comprised of something like one-third or more cocaine and the founder of the beverage was a big time coke-head who sold the company for $2,300.00 on his death bed. And the man who purchased Coca-Cola eliminated cocaine from the recipe not because he was forced to (there was no FDA yet) but because he was deeply religious and didn't want to manufacture that sort of product.
Anyhow, I thought that was all super interesting information.
So now the question for you today is, Coke or Pepsi?

somewhere around age 27, I started getting really "sensitive" (i.e., crazy feeling/panicy, etc...) with sugar drinks - I have tried to convince my Dr's that I am diabetic or something, but they always do this blood test thingy and tell me I'm fine... so its Diet Coke for me... 1 on the way to work, 1 when I get to work, and then 1 for lunch - then I slow down...
