Is there an opposite to deja vu? Or a further iteration of it? For instance, the usual feeling is a powerful sense that we've been here before, I've lived this moment before, etc.

Couldn't one also have an equally powerful feeling that this moment is entirely new? That this has never happened, to anyone, before?

God, early morining in LA with badly sunburned feet.

Body parts that haven't seen the sun in over two years probably require a stronger sunblock than 4. One to grow on, I guess.

Part 7

It was around midnight now, so we drove out to the train tracks on the outskirts of town. We threw a blanket down on the grass and sat right next to the tracks as the 12:30 a.m. train rushed past us. We all yelled and howled at the loud metal beast roared past us. Sarah sat in my lap and I held her...

I sat on the car with Emily and sipped at my water. The violent ups and downs of the trip were fading, but subtle reminders still lingered, like the jagged zigzag patterns that Emily's cigarette smoke was making. We rambled on, talking about whether we believed in ghosts, or in aliens, or the other weird stuff out there. Sarah finally appeared, laughing at...

We crossed to the dance floor, and while doing this, I had to smile and introduce Emily to half a dozen classmates. The pressure of performing this normally simple task while trying to act normal with all of these people nearly had me leaping out a window. The slow Bad Company song gave way to a fast-paced Ted Nugent song (I told you...

Part Four

"Do you want something?" Emily asked.
"What?"
"Do you want something? To help you come down?"
I looked at Emily. Her dark lipstick. Her big brown eyes. I suddenly realized I was madly in love with her. How would I ever tell Sarah? I'd better do it quickly. I couldn't wait for her to get back to the table.

"Anything. Anything for you."...

Part 3

I walked out alone into the grand ballroom. It was basically every high school prom flick you've ever seen playing out in front of me. Guys in rented tuxes, girls in thousand dollar gowns, lots of sequins, colored lights, and hanging crepe paper. The air reeked of hairspray, Drakkar Noir, and sweat. And it was walking into this scene that the acid finally...

Part Two:

The car smelled of incense, and Beck was playing on the radio as Emily opened her satchel and passed me a tab of acid. I started to put the paper in my mouth, and realized that Sarah and Emily had probably driven the entire hour and a half from school on the very same acid that I was about to take. I wondered...

So beyond tired now. I've gone all the way through the spectrum and back to wide awake again.
Oh look, I just spelled awake as 'awaek', and I think it looks better that way.
I believe I'm totalling up about seven hours of sleep for the past four days. Things going bump in the night keep waking me up, and overdue writing assignments have me...
