1. They say that distance makes the heart grow fonder. I wonder.

2. Uno is a really awesome game.

3. Giving credit where it's due is a good trait to have. Besides, writing acknowledgements is a lot of fun, and a good occasion to get sentimental.

4. Emoticons are rarely appropriate.

5. I've often remarked that I do not possess a baseline; rather, my emotional life is one spent travelling between extremes, never staying at one point for long. Lately though, I seem to have reached a fixed state of disappointment. I look forward to the return of mental instability.

Much as I hate mainstream trends, pop fads and herd mentality, it makes me really happy when I'm in the midst of a giant crowd, and all of a sudden a song starts playing, and everyone knows the words, and there's a wierd sense of group identity and being in the now (not the know, the now - though I suppose that both are appropriate in this case).

9. I can never remember which situations to use colons and semi-colons for.

10. People really are quite fascinating.
