Ok, so maybe I should have mentioned before that I was leaving on the road trip on Monday. But Sunday night I was all distraught because Henri died. Before you start giving me shit about being upset over my fish dying, you need to understand that Henry was fucking awesome. Also, it wasn't like a come home and find your fish dead sort of thing,...

stop fucking smoking in bed!!! stupid fucking decision, honestly.
esme:
No shit from here; in fact, I am eternally empathetic. I've actually been meaning to ask you about your alias for awhile, but I am a shy thing. This is Seymour:

We were in love. He died over spring break of my freshman year, when his well meaning caretaker decided to clean his bowl. (I like to think it also had something to do with missing me.) At least I didn't have to see it. Even since our relationship I've had a very soulful attachment to goldfish.

Have a fun trip. *secret PBK handshake wink *

Ah, the days just sail by.

Last night, I went to my friends' sister's high school graduation party. Sounds lame, but in fact, this was one rockin' party. Especially when we showed up with the tequila (we being somelameo, remusisdying, and I). But we felt all wierd sitting inside eating hamburgers and drinking with all these old people we didn't know, (I felt...

Wow that sounds exciting. I haven't been to a HS party well ever! I get better looking the more tequila you have, no seriously! Hope you're having fun I know I am...

I think I need a nap after reading that.

Do yourself a favor. Go to yor local video store, and rent Eurotrip-Unrated. Do it now, thank me later.

What an amazing movie. Aside from the many surprising cameos (Matt Damon plays the best role of his career, quite possibly), and the copious amounts of nudity, holy crap, I haven't laughed that hard in ages.

i really suck at relaxing and having a good time. i like it much better when i have some free time, but am generally rather busy. it's exhausting to have nothing really to do, except for minor things that can easily be put off. it makes me perpetually nervous and unhappy.

complain, complain, complain. heh heh. this is why i stay the fuck away from...

-Yes it's out and deserves at least a rental.

-It should be obvious as to what type of man I am.

-The movie would be treated (and funded) like every other major disaster flick. Except we'd blow the FX money on inflatable jump houses, Dom Perignon, and candy.

I haven't seen The Jury. Yet...
newark:

Yes that photo is my in 1992 ! and yes I have seen the Jury as they filmed in Newark and my building on the 26th smile

Ok, sorry for the lack of updates, but my computer has been sitting in my backpack for a week, and somelameo's computer drives me fucking crazy, so yeah, haven't been around much.
Times like this you realize that online journals really aren't for you at all, eh?
Anyways, I've been lying around in the sun reading a lot, currently reading Hopscotch, which is...

Well then you just need to wake up next to me sometime. Some say that would be a terrible way to start the day, but I disagree.

I get the way too working 3rd shift, there's nothing good to eat and I'm not interested in eating. It's hard to eat in the dark I think it's something evolutionary.

Ok, so I am now proudly displaying my cultural heritage on my legs. Apparently I can't put on sunscreen, because I now have these bizarro red streaks on my pale legs. Argh.
Other than that though, life is ok. I miss Portland and the people there, along with many other places in the world, and people. Utah is nice, but it's not home.
dunx:
Try Texas. It's better.
peart:
your cultural heritage? Staying away from sunlight eh?

Last night in Portland... If I weren't so fucking tired of packing, I might be more aware of what a major thing this is. As is, it's only when I'm with my friends that it suddenly hits me that I won't be seeing them for a good long time. It's ok though, I know I'll see them again. I've moved enough times in my life...

Took my car in to the shop to get it looked at before I take it across the country. If it's not too messed up, I will reward it (and any passengers) by fixing the passenger window as well. Oooooh.

Sometimes I'm tempted to sink my life savings into putting a really fucking cool engine into my car. Other times I'm tempted to buy a...

Hehe... When I was 16 I had a Chevette covered in black engine paint. It was the slowest, and definitely *lamest* deathmobile ever seen.

It arrived today.

You know, smoking cigarettes is something that you do once in awhile, doesn't take up a lot of your time, etc. But not smoking, that is a full time, 24-7 type of job. I am not smoking all the time. I fucking hate it. I feel like I'm betraying my best friend. Granted, my best friend is trying to give me cancer, but you only...

that's a great program! You are smart to quit now. I found it impossible to quit during grad school and thrashed my lungs while I was writing my dissertation. And fyi, it does get easier; three months is the magic number, if I recall.
remusisdying:
you should totally think about how awesome its going to be to have me in town and for the drive. chew on that.

It's amazing how apathetic and worthless I am when left alone.

Thanks for the advice I'm leaning more towards it now.

I don't have anything to say about Rand as a prose stylist. All I can say, and all I did say, was that insofar as she considered herself a philosopher, she is a bad one. Her doctrine of selfishness, as I understand it, is circular.

SG:NHS would benefit from this discussion being kept within the group--not to hide dissent, but to put it plainly before everyone there instead of making this an issue between just you and I. There are people in the group who have read Rand and harbour far more disdain for her than I do, and it would do us some good in our ivory tower to have something to talk about other than how smart we all are.

I've just noticed your entry under "makes me sad". For me, it's evenings that do it. In the morning everything's great, but at night all the anxieties and fears come out of their hiding places.
